Short description

This webpage provides a refinement of the dermal absorption model of Wilschut et al. (1995). The refinement includes a revision of the mathematical description of the model and the estimation of the lag time from published validated skin permeation coefficients and from stratum corneum/water partition coefficients of generally apolar substances. The permeation coefficient and the stratum corneum/water partition values together are indispensable for the estimation of the lag time.
