Baseline intake of PCDD/F from fish in Beneris describes the baseline (or background) exposure to plychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) due to fish consumption in the Beneris population.

Definition

Baseline exposure to PCDD/Fs from fish can be represented as a random variable or as a constant. It is indexed by variable age. It applies to all age categories (this represents baseline exposure to PCDD/Fs from fish for children aged 0-2yr, 2-18yr and adults aged 18-55yr and over 55yr) and to indicators such as remaining lifetime risk of cancer in adults and risk of developmental dental defects.
