Ubuntu is a Linux operating system. It can be installed together with Windows, so that each time the computer is started, the user can choose which operating system to use. The installing of Ubuntu to a computer that has preinstalled Windows 8 is made a bit tricky from the Windows side, and therefore there are some links to help you out if you plan such activity.
