Scope
Remaining lifetime risk of cancer in adults describes the quantitative relationship between exposure to polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans furans (PCDD/Fs) and exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in adults and remaining lifetime risk of developing cancer.
Definition
Remaining lifetime risk of cancer in adults is defined as a probability that an adult person exposed to PCDD/Fs and PCBs from fish will develop cancer (any type of cancer) in his/her remaining lifetime.
This variable is indexed by variable age. It applies to age categories 18-55ye and 55yr+.
