How should the progress of an Opasnet page be evaluated in such a way that

• a user can evaluate the quality of content,
• a contributor gets instructions for improvement,
• the responsibilities of maintaining and improving the quality are clear?

Anwer

Template Progression class should be used for this purpose. It is placed on the top of a page, and the progress level and organisation that curates the page are given.

Parameters:

• progression: The following progression classes are used (see more detailed descriptions below):

• curator: Name of the institute that takes care of the page so that the quality improves and does not deteriorate. The name of the person curating the page is given as the moderator parameter in the page type template (assessment, method, ovariable etc).
• date: Date (in format 2016-03-21) when the whole page was lasted checked and, if needed, updated.

Levels of progress

This page is a placeholder

It contains only parts of the actual page and works mostly as a note that there is a plan to build this page.

This page is a draft

The relevat content and structure of the page is already present, but there still is a lot of missing content.

This page is a full draft

This page has been written through once, so all important content is already where it should be. However, the content has not been thoroughly checked yet, and for example important references might still be missing.

The content has been checked and the references are in place. An equivalent to a manuscript to be sent to a scientific journal.
