This is a brief guide about writing glossary terms
Edit existing term
Glossary terms are normal wikipages that anyone can edit. You can access existing terms easily from Glossary.
Note! List is generated automatically so you cannot edit terms directly from glossary-page, instead you'll have to go to a corresponding term-page by clicking the topic of the term.
Add a new term
There is 2 ways how to add new terms to glossary:
- 1. Create a new page for your term.
- Add your page to category (category:Glossary term)
- Write content of your term inside
and
(This content is automatically displayed in Glossary)
- 2. Mark part of some page as a glossary term
- Add your page to category (category:Glossary term)
- Add content of your term inside
and
(Note! Content displayed in Glossary can be just a small part of actual page)
Example:
[[Category:Glossary term]] This text is NOT displayed in Glossary.
:This is a part of text IS displayed in glossary
This part is NOT displayed (Only content between
and
is displayed
Linking to glossary
You can link to a glossary term in 2 ways:
- Direct link to term page: [[term]]
- Link to term in a glossary page: [[glossary#term]]
