Scope

To find out the numbers of people exposed to traffic noise in Helsinki, as dictated by the Directive for Environmental Noise.

Definition

Following the methodological guidelines of the Directive for Environmental Noise, and implemented as described in detail in the report from the noise consulting company Akukon Ltd.

Data from City of Helsinki noise survey (calculated from 2006 population and traffic data):
