National Institute for Health and Welfare (Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitos, THL) is a governmental research and expert institute in Finland. It is located under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. See the home page. It was founded by merging to existing institutes, National Public Health Institute (KTL), and Stakes in the beginning of 2009.
