Endpoint variables are variables that describe phenomena which are outcomes of the assessed causal diagram or network, i.e. there is no variables downstream from an endpoint variable according to the scope of the assessment. In practice endpoint variables are most often also chosen as indicators. See also causality and assessment. <section end=glossary />
