Assessment framework is a holistic view on different kinds of methods to bring scientific and other information to decision-making. The framework attempts to be a systematic description of this field, describing both methods to do assessments, and the structures of the products (usually reports). It also offers tools to actually perform certain kinds of assessments. All assessments that have been performed using the tools are available and usable on this website. This is actually the ultimate purpose of the website: offer high-quality ready-to-use information and data about health, the environment, and everything for anyone who wants to improve decision-making on these topics.

Tasks to develop the website

  • Describe the ontology of the assessment framework
  • Define the properties of a good assessment
  • Describe the ontology of uncertainties
  • Describe the knowledge assessment and its linkages to the whole
  • Describe the variable structure
  • Describe the class structure

Ontology of assessments

  1. General context of policy-making
  2. Context of policy-making in a particular situation
  3. Context of science
  4. Product objects
  • Uncertainty about Definition is model uncertainty
  • Uncertainty about Result is parameter uncertainty
  • Uncertainty about Scope is reflected against the object in the upper level (e.g. scope of a variable in respect to the assessment it belongs to)
