Smoking status describes the smoking status of individuals as background health information.
Definition
Smoking status is represented either as a continuous or as a discrete variable.
If continuous = intake of nicotine via active smoking.
If discrete = smoker, non-smoker.
Smoking status is indexed by variable age. It applies to last three age categories and to all indicators.
