Statements: Resolution: Resolution not yet found. |

The template is in transition phase. The Dispute is now called Statements and Outcome is called Resolution. All of these are valid arguments for the template to prevent problems. The discussions have now rather systematically been updated so that they only contain Statements and Resolution, so these should be used as the main parameters. If Resolution is missing, then the text should say: "Resolution not yet found", and then it is categorised to Category:Open discussions.
I also created a new parameter, "Open". If it contains content, such as "Yes", the page will be categorised into Category:Open discussions. If it is empty, the page will be categorised to Category:Closed discussions. This is the newer way of referring to the openness of a discussion. The older way (based on the existence of Resolution parameter), should be removed. Also, the parameters Dispute and Outcome should be removed at some point, when a checkup has been done.
Statements: Resolution is the word for the outcome of a discussion. Resolution: Accepted. |
Argumentation:
⇤--1: . I have doubts about Resolution being better than Outcome. Do we want to separate between closed discussions (dispute not resolved, but the current outcome is included in the information object); and resolved discussions (only one statement is valid after the discussion)? We must think about this. ( --Jouni 07:18, 22 November 2009 (UTC) (type: truth; paradigms: science: attack)
