Short description

Established in 1976, GEMS/Food operates through a network of WHO Collaborating Centers and other participating institutions located in over 70 countries around the world. The purpose of GEMS/Food is to collect health-oriented population-based monitoring data on levels and trends of contaminants in food and their significance for health and trade, including a number of pesticide residues.
