'''Unbroken''' is a property of an assessment work, where the assessment result and conclusions develop in time in such a way that the coherence with the documented information is unbroken at all times. In practice, this means that an assessment model is built in such a way that when a new piece of information emerges and is documented as a part of a variable in the assessment, the model can be run with the new information, producing updated recommendations.

How do we make sure that assessments are unbroken, i.e. that information can be updated smoothly in such a way that the usability of an assessment is not disrupted because of updates?

==Answer==

* When a model is updated, there must always be a fully functional model available to the users. Only when the update works, the current model is replaced by a new one.
* The same applies to data tables.
* If a model cannot be updated with temporarily breaking it (e.g. simultaneous changes must be made on several pages), the update work must be done in such small steps that, at the end of each day, there is an unbroken model available.
* It is important to note that not only the model and its results but also conclusions (typically written text, not automatically updated) should be unbroken. This means that when model updates start producing different results, this should lead in changes in conclusion text as well.
* One important part of conclusion is the evaluation of the assessment (notably, whether the assessment is already so developed that the results it produces are acceptable for the specified purpose). Also this evaluation should be unbroken, i.e. reflect the current version of the assessment and its model.
